For a couple of years, Realtors and folks looking to buy a home in the Tulsa area have been doing a relatively happy, but not very efficient little dance on Facebook. 

Realtors, crouched around our keyboard hoping you’d show up and ask, oh, anything related to moving here (Is Tulsa a town? I thought you’d never ask!). You, hoping to answer all your genuine and burning questions about what a new life in Tulsa might look and feel like, show up to begin doing your research. 

Little did you know, as soon as you posted your first question, you would learn one of the first and most important words in the Oklahoma vocabulary: Bedlam. 

 “I just went to get pour another cup of coffee,’ said one west coast native after innocently asking what time zone Tulsa is on..,” and I came back to 200 Realtor comments and friend requests.”

I was that Realtor. Truth be told, I relished those conversations because I know I have something real and valuable to give: personal experience. I’ve lived in four other states, and moved my family here ten years ago. I know exactly what it feels like and takes to move, replant and start over in Tulsa. 

But the dance grew weary, and very, very overcrowded. The tornado of posts and Realtors dropping digital business cards grew overwhelming to folks like you, and you pulled away. 

Meanwhile, I personally didn’t see people getting their main concerns tended to, or their curiosities about our great city satiated. So, I decided to build the answer.
